Home for the Holidays

For these past two years Nadia and I haven't been able to go home for the holidays. It makes it a bit sad not being able to spend that time with our families, but Nad has done a wonderful job at making our home a winter wonderland. She is da bomb for doing that and I appreciate it very much.

Things that have happened so far this week...

I GOT MY NEW PHONE! I have never loved anything more than siri EVER! ok that's a lie, but still... i love it!

We decorated our beeeeeautiful tree. I call her chrissy (short for christmas tree) Bryce thinks it's weird, whatev. 

I had such a crazy/bad day/week so bryce took me to sushi, and I quote.. "When life gives you lemons, eat sushi" Aint that the truth.

I think i have a crush on finn hudson? I'm sorry. I don't want to. I don't even like Glee (most of the time) I'm just sorry.

It's getting so dang cold that sometimes you just have to wear your new robe you got on black friday and watch grey's anatomy. You just have to. 

confession

So.... lets say your little sister is with you in a store and she's being silly and knocks something over and breaks it and that something is a stupid stupid spongebob pineapple house ornament. I mean who makes a breakable ginormous pineapple ornament? And better yet, who buys something like that? Well the person who broke it that's who.

Stupid stupid pineapple ornament. Let me just tell you this store is not hypothetical, I'm the little sister and I will never go to Pet Co. again. I don't even have a pet, but tonight we were morning the loss of Stefan's dragon fish Falcor, and were trying to find a replacement fish when I thought it was necessary to pick up this fish house ornament thinking who in the world would pay 9.99 for this stupid thing and show Amanda how easily I can drop it. Needless to say this might have been one of the most embarrassing moments ever. I made Bryce wait with me at the register while I confessed my crime but there is a happy ending... the wonderful pet co cashier said i didn't have to pay for the stupid thing! 

Moral of the story- don't buy a dragon fish. I'll also never eat pineapple again

Oh Christmas Tree

Last year we got a tree except it could have been called a branch. This year we got one that actually looks like a tree so we are excited. We went with our friends the Hofmeisters. They are cool.

changing seasons...

Just to catch you up.... we've been playing flag footballl, hanging out with friends, getting the best score on an accounting test ever, surprising family in Washington, surviving our first blizzard of the year, putting ruby away for the winter, and designing our Christmas cards! I can't wait!

This weekend was one of the best. There is nothing like having a Saturday off to do nothing but be with my best friend, make good food, be with good people, and listen to goood music. 

Friday night Joshua James played, and Saturday night Desert Noises played in the Bess Knees Festival. Bryce and Shane teamed up as BarnWood Productions and made this awesome video from the show. One of our new favorite songs.
